Week-End Round Up - Vintage Sale & Bertoia

What a weekend......

We had our first ever "Vintage Hoarding" Sale.  All in all it was a great success.  We met many new pickers and "hoarders".  It was a rainy weekend, but we managed to pull it off.  Here is Mike running to set up his Curtis Mathes stereo console.....I will be happy to see this piece gone. Not that it isn't a admirable piece, we moved it at least 10 times.

After the sale we met up with our friend Dan.  He had this set of vintage modern Knoll Harry Bertoia wire chairs sitting in his garage for quite some time.  The cushions are not in the best condition, I probably over paid, but who cares. The frames show little wear and they are now in my collection.  These will be available soon.

Also from Dan, I picked up this Modeline Danish Modern (Although Not Danish - It has Danish styling) mid century Modern cylinder table lamp.  This piece will be available soon!

A signed C. Jere aspen tree leaf wall sculpture.  I went to a house call and decided to purchase this one.  As some know, I'm not a huge fan of Jere.  There are a few pieces of theirs that I truly appreciate, but most seem a little too retro for me.  However, this is a beautiful, sleek, vertical modern piece I admire.  I might hang this one in my home.

At the same house call with the Jere above, I picked up this Kent Coffey Tableau low boy dresser.  We kept this piece....for now.  I also have the tall dresser and mirror.

A few other chairs I picked up.  A Thonet and a couple chrome sling chairs in the Marcel Breuer style.

I purchased the blue danish styling side chair in the style of LB Koford Larsen's Elizabeth Chair (above), the danish styling buffet / sideboard (above) and an extendable slat bench / coffee table from my friend Mackenzie  - Sight Unseen.  I will pick these items up this week and determine what to do with them.
