7-18-13 | Dunbar Edward Wormley Cane Dining Chairs Sideboard, Thonet Barrel Back Bar Stools and Club Chairs, vintage Karpen Bros Furniture High Back Lounge Chair, Karpen Pair Modern Sculptural Barrel Club Chairs, Eames Herman Miller Alluminum Group Coffee Table, retro 3 Piece Milo Baughman for Thayer Goggin Bench Stools, Slat Bench Coffee Table with Drawer, Furniture

Well, I am almost caught up.  I have many pieces going out to be reupholstered and re-finished, but I've shared most of my mid-mod furniture inventory with you......then I have two estates buys to finalize and it will start all over again.

Here are some great pieces I picked up this past week through auctions, an estate sale, and a private buy.  Besides the chairs, all should be available tonight.

A set of six cane back dining room chairs by Edward Wormley for Dunbar.  The caning is in excellent condition and no blemishes take away from the overall aesthetics.  I also have the matching dining room table available (not pictured).

A match to the chairs above, this Edward Wormley for Dunbar Sideboard / credenza on casters is a stunning piece.

A pair of 43.5" Tall, black leather with tubular chrome barrel back bar stools, probably by Thonet.

A match to the bar stools above is a pair of Thonet black leather barrel back club / lounge chairs in excellent condition.  I purchased a set of four, but two have already sold.  The other two will be available this evening.

AVAILABLE SOON - A mid-century Karpen Bros of Chicago STUNNING blue high back lounge chair with wood arms, accents, and legs.  The upholstery is original and in near mint condition.  The foam has petrified and needs replaced.

AVAILABLE SOON - A pair of Late 1940's - early 1950's Modern sculptural Karpen Bros Furniture barrel club / lounge chairs.  The lines on these chairs are absolutely gorgeous.  They appear to be influenced by Vladimir Kagan OR Adrian Pearsall, BUT these pieces are way before their time.  Is it possible that this chair influenced them?  I am going to have these chairs reupholstered and refinished.

A Modern Eames for Herman Miller Aluminum Group coffee table.  The base is Herman Miller, the top is not. However, I like this top much better. It is a hard acrylic and gets away from the hard edge lines of the Aluminum Group tables.  I have never been a fan of Eames Aluminum Group tables, BUT the thin edge on this table offers a subtle hint of elegance.  I like it.

A rare three piece set, Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin bench stool seat.  This piece has been cleaned and the legs have been refinished.  There is still a pen mark on one of the white vinyl seats, but I am in the process of getting that fixed.  The bench measures approximatley 62" L x :20.5"D x 14.5" H.  This piece can work for so many uses in a retro home including an entry way, a bed foot bench, a kids playroom, an office waiting room and the list goes on...

I've never seen one.  Really?  A mid century slat coffee table with a drawer and drink stand?  Well, maybe I have, but I passed it up. I had to buy this one.  This piece isn't made by a master craftsman, but it is hot.  Before there was a black drink stand, there was yellow linoleum.  Huh? That is right. I pulled off the yellow linoleum and painted it black.  I sanded and refinished the top.  It is ready to add character to any mod living space.
